Leke Adebayo is an experienced communications consultant and professional actor, with a strong legal sector background.
He completed his legal training at Slaughter and May, qualifying in the corporate department, and later worked as a corporate associate at SJ Berwin. Leke has also worked as a professional support lawyer and senior paralegal at Jones Day and a professional support lawyer at Barlow Lyde Gilbert, both in the corporate department, where he was responsible for the firms’ precedents.
Leke studied acting at various places, with short courses at the Central School of Speech and Drama and with 20:20 performance agency. He has a number of theatrical and national television credits, including the BBC, Channel 4 and the Southwark Playhouse.
Leke runs his own consultancy providing communications and strategic advice (including image-branding and reputation-management) to high-profile governments, corporations, development/philanthropic organisations and prominent individuals. He finds that his cross-cultural background (being a national of both the UK and Nigeria) helps significantly to achieve desired outcomes for his eclectic clients.
The training sector was a natural progression for Leke, given his varied background and diverse expertise. He has delivered experiential training to law firms including CMS Cameron McKenna and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, as well as to clients in the media and financial services sectors.
In addition, Leke is a freelance journalist and has also worked as a charity fundraiser for leading international charities.
He speaks Yoruba (one of the main languages in Nigeria) and regularly travels to Nigeria and elsewhere in Africa, Europe, the US and Middle East to work with clients.
