Chris Hadfield brings a wide range of experience and skills to support lawyers and business service professionals learn about themselves and ways to enhance their impact and develop others. He has diversified over many years into coaching, training, consulting, psychotherapy and drama, after a first career as a solicitor.
Chris has been both general counsel and a partner at Wilkinson Kimbers (now DLA Piper), working in corporate insolvency and in property development. He combines a firm grasp of the issues facing lawyers in a busy practice and as general counsel, with an impressive track record in developing lawyers and business support professionals, particularly in personal and interpersonal awareness, emotional intelligence, leadership, and personal, team and organisational development, working flexibly across many organisational and ethnic cultures.
Chris has designed, facilitated and contributed to numerous personal and professional development programmes in many jurisdictions. He has worked, for example, for Allen & Overy, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, White & Case, Herbert Smith Freehills, Milbank and numerous FTSE companies. He has also worked extensively with general counsel in leading organisations.
After originally training with Oxford Executive Coaching, Chris has been coaching lawyers for more than 15 years. He has an MBA, is an NLP Master Practitioner and Trainer and draws on extensive experience as an integrative arts psychotherapist. He also has a postgraduate diploma in coaching and therapeutic supervision. Chris has tutored in Creativity, Innovation and Change on an MBA programme and in Creative, Relational and Therapeutic skills.
Chris received a Postgraduate Diploma in Acting from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. His substantial acting experience includes stage, film and television credits.
