Sarika Sabherwal is a Lead Facilitator and core team member at PCA Law. Her unique background as a personal communications consultant includes experience in law, English language education, counselling and acting.
Sarika trained in law at Manchester University. Upon graduation she qualified at a personal injury law firm, working on high-value cases for litigation in the area of accidents at work.
Sarika also has expertise as an English language professional. Based in Milan for five years, she trained partners, senior associates and junior lawyers at International law firms as well as a range of other professionals from journalists to members of the European Parliament in their English language skills. Sarika facilitated numerous group lessons on enhancing communication skills in both the legal and business worlds. Her one-to-one sessions with professionals offered a tailored approach to the complexities of acquiring English as a second language and the cross-cultural issues that may arise. In addition, she developed a keen interest in working on individual barriers in respect of personal communications, working with professionals on a range of issues dealing with interpersonal relations in the workplace, such as presenting, negotiating or resolving conflict.
After returning to the UK, Sarika furthered her training in personal communication by obtaining a year-long foundation diploma in psychotherapy and counselling at the Tavistock Institute. The insights she gained into themes such as integrity, power and leadership are highly relevant to her work in facilitation and coaching.
Sarika has also completed courses in professional acting to help consolidate the core skills needed when translating and delivering messages in her training.
Since joining PCA Law, Sarika has delivered training programmes to a variety of UK and international law firms, including Burges Salmon, CMS Cameron McKenna, Freeths, Hart Brown, Hogan Lovells, Mayer Brown, Norton Rose Fulbright and Shakespeare Martineau.
