Alicia Sutton is a Lead Facilitator and core team member at PCA Law. As a personal communications consultant with a background in both law and acting, she demonstrates a genuine enthusiasm for growth. She uses a strengths-based approach with clients, as a springboard to their greater success.
Alicia trained in both acting and law simultaneously. Upon graduation, she commenced a career as a media lawyer, whilst working evenings in professional theatre. Her first legal role was as counsel for the New Zealand Broadcasting Commission, negotiating all television and film funding agreements amounting to NZ$70 million per annum. Alicia enjoyed a dynamic position and was also involved with advising the Board of Directors on policy, and on funding decisions with respect to comedy and documentary programming.
Upon relocation to the UK, Alicia was engaged as a Legal Advisor for British Sky Broadcasting. Her role in the Content and Copyright team was a combination of intellectual property and commercial contracts. She advised the departments of research and development, online, mobile, gaming and the television channels Sky 1 and Sky Arts.
After several years in law and acting, Alicia enhanced her natural inclination for communications and furthered her training in executive coaching, personal communications and presentation skills.
Since joining PCA Law, she has utilised her unique trilogy of skills in delivering training programmes to UK and international law firms including Allen & Overy, Bond Dickinson, Browne Jacobson, Clyde & Co, CMS Cameron McKenna, Eversheds, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Hogan Lovells, Mayer Brown, Nabarro, Norton Rose Fulbright, Pinsent Masons and White & Case. She has also worked with a number of global companies, including Google in the Republic of Ireland, and Mastercard and Nestle in the Middle East.
